My name's Zilly, and I'm a professional visual developer who also draws for fun. I can be a bit on the quiet side, but I promise I won't bite if you ever have any questions for me!
I mean, not unless your fingers smell like a delightful cheese snack...
The best way to contact me is via Discord, or Tumblr messages (not asks!). I rarely check my email, and I'm slowly moving away from Twitter.

How to commission me
Right now, my commissions are closed to the general public. I'll announce on Tumblr when I have them re-opened! You can check here, too.
★
Terms & Conditions
for commissions
When you order an illustration, we discuss exactly what you expect for the finished product. Only when the nature of the illustration and a price are agreed upon, will I send you an invoice for the desired product. I require full payment before I start the illustration. If you have any questions, always feel free to ask!
★
Ownership of copyright
I remain the owner of the copyright for my illustrations. You are always welcome to use the illustration for any non-commercial, personal use (such as icons on social media, wallpaper on your phone, or personal prints for yourself). If you need to print out multiple copies of your commission, you are only allowed to do so for non-commercial means. That means it’s okay to print a small number of copies as gifts to friends, but NOT to sell.
★
Cancellation fees for commissions
If you commission an illustration from me and then change your mind and cancel, cancellation fees apply (if your reason for cancellation is that the illustration is not what you expected, the ‘rejection’ section applies instead).(i) 0% of the purchase price if you cancel before I begin work (full refund)
(ii) 25% of the agreed fee if you cancel before I send you the roughs
(iii) 33% if you cancel once you have seen the roughs
(iv) 100% if you cancel when I send you the completed illustration
(v) pro rata for anything in betweenThis can be open for discussion, but I reserve the right to have the final say. All commissions over $100 will automatically entail roughs. If you purchase an illustration below $100, you must ask to see the roughs.
★
Rejection fees for commissions
If you commission an illustration from me, you might be worried that it might turn out not to be what you expected. If so, be assured that I will do my utmost to find out what you are looking for. Some changes can be made to the commission if I feel they’re reasonable (especially if it was due to an understanding on my part), or a percentage of the purchase price can be discussed for refund. I retain the right to have the final say on how much, if any, price will be refunded. To this date, I’ve done thousands of commissions and have not run into any problems with any rejections. So don’t fret!
★
Changes to commissions
If you commission me and then change your mind about what you want, after everything was agreed, that’s OK, but if it means extra time for me to make changes there will be a charge. If your commission is completed and you feel I have not followed your instructions and changes should be made, I will discuss those changes with you. If I believe the error to be on my part, those changes will be at no extra charge. I reserve the right to have the final say on whether or not the changes are reasonable and will or will not cost extra.

Adoption art
All previously mentioned copyright ownership remains for the art itself, and you cannot use adopted art for commercial purposes. This means you cannot resell the character at a price higher than initially purchased from me. You are allowed to print, edit, and otherwise use the art for personal, non-commercial purposes. The character as a concept belongs to you. I can claim that I created the character, and you cannot claim you created it or the art that I drew. Since you own the character, you can make any changes to their design as you like. (If you would like me to edit the original drawing, that will be considered a commission. I’m happy to do very minor tweaks for free.)

I only have 3 golden rules about using my art! I just ask that:
It's non-commercial
You're not claiming it's yours
It's not used for anything mean
I want people to have fun, so long as it's not hurting anyone. Just use good faith, have good intentions, and you'll be fine. If you're ever unsure of something, feel free to ask! I promise it's not a bother at all.
Please also understand that most artists are not this lenient! Never assume any of these things are okay with other artists. Please respect everyone's boundaries, they're just as valid as my own.
I do reserve the right to change these rules at any time, and I have the right to rescind this privilege to any individual as I see fit. This will only be done in extreme circumstances.

Common Questions
✦ What exactly does "don't use my art for anything mean" entail?
I understand this is a bit vague, but please just use your best judgment. Don't use my work to spread hatred, misinformation, bigotry, promote illegal actions, or be mean towards groups or individuals.✦ Can I QRT your art?
Please don't. Most artists prefer a regular RT! Feel free to leave a comment or use the "LRT" convention.✦ Can I reblog your art?
Absolutely! I encourage this, it helps me out a bunch!✦ Can I repost your work?
Only if it's on a site that I'm not already active on, and with proper credit. If I'm on that site, please do not repost anything.✦ What if I post your work and don't credit?
In most cases, posting without credit is breaking my "don't claim my work as your own" rule. This isn't necessary for icons, and I'm usually lenient in places where you simply cannot credit.✦ Can I translate your work?
Yes, please just use proper credit and link back to the original.✦ Can I use your art for an icon, banner, emoji, video, meme, etc? Can I edit your work?
Yes! So long as you're not claiming to have created the art, you're not making any money off of it, and you're posting proper credit + links where possible. Not posting credit where possible is considered attempting to claim it as your own work.✦ Can I use your work in a video?
Yes! Just be sure to follow my 3 golden rules.✦ Can I study or trace your art?
Yes! Same as above–so long as you're not claiming to have created the art, you're not making any money off of it, and you're posting proper credit + links (if you can't link back to the original, please don't post it). Especially if it's a trace, please state that it's a tracing study.
If you're coloring or rendering something that was originally just a sketch or lineart, feel free to post it with the #opencollab tag! Check this post for more details about it.✦ Can I heavily reference your art, and/or copy your style?
Yes! I just ask that you credit me when you feel that reference or inspiration is substantial. We all subconsciously become influenced by things we see and like in art, I promise that's a very normal thing!✦ Can I use your work in AI or NFTs?
No. Full stop. These break my "claiming work as your own" and "commercial use" rules.✦ Can I print your work, or make merch?
Yes, but only with a few stipulations:
You're not selling it. This does includes things I have in my Redbubble! I only ask that you use my Redbubble or tip me through Ko-Fi if you're financially able. If you're broke or a kid with no money, compensation isn't necessary. I have faith that my goodwill will be met in kind!
You're not using any questionable production companies. Many places will steal the artwork they print, make more afterwards, and sell it. The current list of approved production companies I'll allow is:
✦ Vograce
✦ ZapCreatives
(I'll consider adding more companies as I hear about good reputation, feel free to send suggestions)
